Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

I would love for the following lines to be included in the testimonials affirming NTS.  I am a graduate of two Baptist Schools:  Shorter University, Rome, Ga. (B.A. in Religion and Philosophy); and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div. in Theology).  I have served as Senior Pastor of Freedom Baptist Church, Calhoun, Ga. for twelve years.  I served as an Adjunct Professor of Religion at Shorter University (1992-1998).  I also retired from the U. S. Navy, as a Chaplain.  I retired as a Lieutenant Commander.  I highly recommend NTS to anyone who desires a quality education.  NTS’s curriculum is second to none.  I have finished all the course work and the project paper for the Doctor of Ministry at NTS, and will receive the degree in June, 2014.  I am happy to report that NTS is on par with Shorter University and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary of Louisville, Ky.  Actually, I enjoyed my studies at NTS more than previous studies, because I could work at my own pace.  I finished the D. Min. studies in less than a year.  Also, the faculty and staff worked hands-on with me in such a personal fashion.  I am especially indebted to Dr. Les Liebengood who worked closely with me as my advisor.  He led me through the whole process.  And, whenever I called the school, folks were always ready and happy to answer questions and help me with whatever I needed.  The whole D. Min. process was a wonderful spiritual experience.  I feel closer to the Lord than I ever have.  Thank you Newburgh Theological Seminary.

Len Stubbs Jr is the Senior Pastor of Resurrection Christian Community
Church, Hilton Head Island,
South Carolina. Len received the Master of Divinity from
Newburgh Theological Seminary in 2010.

 

Resurrection is one of the most dynamic Jesus centered churches
on Hilton Head Island. I
n 2012 RCCC has planted two (2) new church campus's one in Bluffton SC a
nd the other in Port Royal SC.

 

RCCC who serves as a church planter training center has plans
to plant five (5) church campus

After teaching in Christian and public schools for over twenty-five years I felt
the need for additional education to be able to assist my husband, a church
pastor, in his work in Christian ministry.  We were blessed to find Newburgh
Theological Seminary online.  I have completed a Master’s in Church
Administration and a Ph.D. in Christian Counseling from Newburgh and am now
completing an Ed. D. in Christian Education.  I have joined the grading staff of
Newburgh Theological Seminary and I’m working with Christian Resort Ministry
International as training director alongside my husband Bill as we develop the

Dan Evans is the pastor of the Second Congregational Church in Ashtabula, Ohio. He is pursuing doctoral studies with Newburgh Theological Seminary. The Second Congregational Church is experiencing a great revival of attendance and spiritual renewal
led by pastor Evans who is pursuing the PhD in Missions, Evangelism and Church Growth with Newburgh.

Twelve students from Burma,  are meeting weekly in Utica, New York as they pursue the Bachelor of Theology degree.
Many of these students attend the Redeemer Church led by Pastor Leetaw who is completing his Master's degree with Newburgh
Theological Seminary.  The church is reaching a large number of young adults and is a spiritual lighthouse in the Utica community.

Dr. Charles P. Austin, (Graduate, Class of 2011) is pastor and doing an incredible job at Village of Hope Church, Columbia, SC.
Dr. Austin received his Ph.D. from Newburgh Theological Seminary and has an exciting ministry in the city of Columbia.

 

Since writing my last testimony message I have graduated from Newburgh with a Bachelor’s degree in Bible studies. I have begun work on my Master’s program in Apologetics and hope to complete the program in time for June graduation. I am head of the Hospital Ministry at Second Baptist Church in Houston, TX, home of the World’s largest medical complex. We have about 40 to 50 patients per day in 25 or more hospitals. With a team of four pastors and 55 volunteers we minister to the patients and families. Patients come to Houston from all over the world and we are often called upon to provide ministry to those from other states and countries. It is a most enriching ministry with many opportunities to witness and to serve our Lord in unexpected ways. I am looking forward to my further studies at Newburgh in the Master’s Apologetics program to enhance my ability to perform my ministry at Second Baptist Church.

 Dr. Ron Kovack, is the new President of Knox Theological Seminary, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  Dr. Kovack was the founding Board Member of Dr. James Kennedy's International television ministry and has taught Evangelism Explosion around the country. He is a Ph.D. graduate of Newburgh Theological Seminary.

Dr. T.Charles Brantley is the new author of Dissertation: The Spiritual Faust In The Twenty-First Century Church - Apologetics.
Dr. Brantley is the senior pastor of Restoration Springs Interdenominational Church in Waterbury, Connecticut and is an author of eight books on relationships and theology.  He can be heard each week on several radio stations in Connecticut. He is a Ph.D. graduate of Newburgh Theological Seminary.  

 

I am now teaching Bible as Literature at the University
of Mary Washington with a strong emphasis on the Psalms.
I am drawing from my PhD courses at Newburgh and
also Leland Ryken’s handbook for Bible Lit.

 

If you ever offer seminars in the Mid Atlantic region,
I would love to teach a course on Bible Lit or one of
the specific genres such as the Psalms as poetry
or Job as drama.

 

Also in reference to my dissertation (2008) on the
intertextuality of the Bible and the non fiction genres
of the dissenting English women of 17^th century,
I have had a request from a scholar at Duke to share
my research with him. He is now director of Baptist
Heritage Studies at Duke but taught at
Houston Baptist Univ. for 14 years.

I also presented the “Jane Turner” portion
(with some revisions) of my dissertation at the
Conference on Christianity and Literature in October at HBU.

 

So as you can see, I am continuing my journey with Biblical
Studies that began at Newburgh Theological Seminary.

and I can relate to that - neither did I.
In fact, I did not want anything to do with
Christianity at all; however, I did go to church.
My life hit rock bottom and as a
result of my bad choices and rebellion against
God I was incarcerated.
Today, more than ever I realize how God in Christ
came to save sinners.
I love what John Newton said,
"I am a great sinner, but Christ is a great Savior."
God has revealed His glorious gospel
and caused it to shine in my heart and
to be able to stand and be a messenger of this
glorious gospel is serious business.
And as someone has said so well, "It is deadly business."

help provide Christian pilgrimage and Archaeological tours in the Middle East
which in turn would help support a missionary thrust.

I am serving as a pastoral staff member, board member, adult English
Sabbath school class teacher, and preacher.
Programs of Study with NTS - PhD in Biblical Studies (Dec 2009) & PhD in
Biblical Archaeology (Jul 2010)
I and my wife, a nurse, have created a personal ministry for Christ we call
"Reaching Out Ministries"
in which during our one month yearly vacation back home to the Philippines,
we conduct a week of prayer in a certain Adventist church to nurture the members,
and at the same time we do medical and dental mission activities around the community to serv
e others.
 I have completed already my first PhD in Biblical Studies at Newburgh Theological Seminary,
and I am finishing my second PhD in Biblical Archaeology of which my deepest
appreciation goes to Dr. Keith Wilhite for his kindness in guiding me
through the process. Dr. Wilhite is a very kind person,
and it is this kindness to students that keeps me with the
Newburgh Theologicl Seminary with two PhD degree courseworks together and
dissertations in succession. A lot of thanks to Dr. Wilhite.

Current Ministry Info Senior Pastor Cle Elum Community Church and
Mt Pisgah Presbyterian Church
 Program of study - PhD in Preaching
 God is doing wonderful things here in Cle Elum.  We are doing baptisms
again this Sunday.  We will have done 20 for the year after Sunday. 
Our attendance continues to grow and people are recommitting
their lives to Christ. We aren't doing anything fancy, but I am
preaching the Word and people are loving God
and each other and God is blessing.

Brief Testimony: I was divinely saved and healed in 1991.

I have also been a gopher for many years just doing whatever is needed to help.
It has been a desire of my heart to continue my formal education in ministry.

I accepted Christ as a child in 1973.  I was called to preach in 1982.

Current Ministry Info R. Keith Davis is the founder and director of
The Center for Biblical Counseling and Spiritual Resource in Grand Island, Nebraska.
He and his wife Kathy work as a husband/wife team to bring a unique perspective in
working with couples to strengthen and breathe new life into their marriages.
Because of their experience of over 35 years in pastoral minstry, they also
specialize in working with pastoral couples who are facing transition, burnout, stress,
trauma or any number of other issues.
