ABOUT THIS CERTIFICATION PROGRAM: The purpose of The University of Preaching Certification is designed to confirm and validate the most distinguished preachers of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The program consists of five courses which are the equivalent of twenty-five hours of study and a Video Sermon which is the equivalent of fifteen hours of study. Although all textbooks may be ordered simultaneously, assignments must be submitted one at a time. Once a textbook is read, a 10 to 20-page paper describing what was read must be submitted for grading. A four to six-page paper is required for each No Travel Seminar. We are simply asking students for a summary of the material. Review the How to Submit Your Work tab concerning submission of assignments.
SPECIFIC CERTIFICATION PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: The University of Preaching Certification requires a total of 40 hours. This is comprised of the five courses (25 hours) and a Video Sermon (15 hours). The five required courses are provided below in the list of Required Textbooks/No-Travel Seminars. Electives are not permitted. A 12-15 Minute Video Sermon must be submitted once the coursework is completed. The sermon will utilize some of the principles learned via the seminars and textbooks.
No-Travel Seminars are ordered directly from the website.
Courses/Textbooks/No-Travel Seminars: Upon conferral of the Preaching Certification, two (2) of the courses completed may be applied toward a Newburgh Theological Seminary or Newburgh College of the Bible degree program if the program authorizes the use of elective courses.
