The purpose of The University of Preaching is to Inspire called Men and Women preachers from around the globe in their calling to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Preachers from all denominations and backgrounds come together to be: better equipped, learn from others, receive help, insight and encouragement.
Connecting Preachers To Preachers - Other preachers often are the preacher's best friends. Joining together with others in the University gives the preacher an opportunity to meet and make new friends for the rest of the journey. Once you complete the
preaching event you become a part of The Fellowship of Preachers.
Proclaiming - The Preacher's calling is to proclaim The Word. In the University setting you will preach and receive valuable, insightful feedback that you will most likely not receive in any other setting.
Requirements:
1. Register and attend The University of Preaching Event
2. Prepare Yourself to preach a 15 minute sermon.
3. Participants will be assigned a theme for the event.
4. Each Participant Will Receive Written Feedback from All Participants of the Preaching Event
5. Each Participant who would like to enroll in the DIPLOMA PROGRAM MUST COMPLETE TWO SEMINAR STUDIES:
1.The Delivery of Sermons by Dr. Robert Smith, Beeson
Divinity School of Preaching, Birmingham, Alabama. This is a $175.00 Value.
2. The Man, The Method, The Message by Dr. TA Prickett, Professor of Preaching, Newburgh Theological Seminary
Both seminars are audio studies and will be emailed to you upon your registration to pursue the Preaching Diploma.
Both Seminars must be viewed and a 3 - 5 page summary papers per seminar must be emailed to Schoolassignment@aol.com
two days prior to attending The University of Preaching Event. Upon completion of the event and the grading of your two preaching seminar papers and all papers turned in that will be associated with reviewing all participating preachers you will be awarded your Diploma of Preaching. Cost for The Diploma Program is $429.00. This includes both seminars which normally cost $175.00 each. Both of these seminars may be counted toward most degree programs at Newburgh Theological Seminary. Two seminars take the place of two courses. The preaching event counts as an elective toward most programs.
Total credit toward most degree programs from the diploma program counts as three courses. You must utilize these courses within 12 months of completion.
You May Opt for A Certificate in Biblical Preaching - The Certificate candidate participates only in the Preaching Event and does not take the preliminary seminar/coursework prior to the Preaching Day Event. - Cost is $329.00 for The Certificate.
The certificate counts as one course toward most degrees at Newburgh Theological Seminary. You must utilize this course within 12 months of completion.
Tuition must be paid by July 10 to reserve your space in the preaching lineup and your seat in the auditorium.
6. The UoP event will count fulfilling one course of credit for Newburgh Theological Seminary.
The class may be applied to any degree program except the Addiction's counseling, Life Coaching and
Christian Education Program.
7. Non students of Newburgh Theological Seminary may utilize the University of Preaching event toward
their degree program should they enroll within 24 months of the UoP event.
8. Each Preacher who participates and completes the event will receive either The Diploma of Biblical Preaching
or The Certificate of Biblical Preaching from The University of Preachers,Newburgh Theological Seminary, Newburgh, Indiana
9. Most Events are either One full Thursday or One Thursday and half of Friday.
Tuition for the Diploma Program is $429.00 and covers the two seminars that will be emailed to you. Grading of the seminar Papers. Grading of your participation in the Seminar. Grading of your sermon, content and delivery. Your participation of giving valuable input to other participates. Video of sermon uploaded to the University of Preaching Channel. The Diploma of Completion, mailed to you based on your completion of the event. Plus, 15 Hours or 3 courses of Newburgh Seminary credit if used toward the degree program within 12 months!
The Certificate Program is $329.00 and covers your tuition, Certificate of Completion,
covers five hours or one course of Newburgh Seminary credit if
applied within 12 months.
TUITION MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO THE EVENT TO RESERVE YOUR SPACE IN THE PREACHING LINEUP AND YOUR SEAT IN THE AUDITORIUM.
Additional costs: Your travel to the event. Your meals while at the event. You are responsible for making arrangements from the airport to the place of meeting. Any other additional costs you might have associated with traveling to the even.
