Dear Dr. Mollette and Carole,
What a blessing it was to have you with us Sunday here in Camden. Renee and I are thankful for the opportunity to meet you both and to spend time together. As you could tell, most of the church was not aware of what was going to take place as you came to preach. There was surprise factor. Most were not aware that I had completed my Doctor of Ministry requirements as well.
Carole, thank you so much for the gracious letter you gifted Renee with. I can truly say, that is who she is. It was wonderful to see her acknowledged and to see the tears flow in the congregation as you read the letter. God picked the right helpmeet for me years ago, and I praise Him for that.
I also want to thank you Carole for sharing your ministry in song and the beautiful medley you blessed us with. Keep using your gifts and being a blessing to Bro. Glenn and churches.
Bro. Glenn, I am humbled to have been chosen to receive the Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree. You have encouraged me greatly to finish well and to be a good steward of what God has entrusted us with. Please pass on to the trustees my sincere gratitude. My prayer is that I will represent Newburgh well.
Your kind words and encouragement in regards to the Doctor of Ministry Project are greatly appreciated. Your message was right on target, and God will use it greatly in the lives of our folks. Your shepherd’s heart is evident as you preach. Pastors resonate with a heart and delivery like that.
May the Lord richly bless your lives, family, ministry and Seminary as you equip men and women for ministry.
Thanks for everything. You have blessed us. Lord willing, we look forward to spending graduation with you in July and having some fun.
For the first time,
Dr. Greg F. Jackson, Senior Pastor
Earning my Masters and Doctorate at NTS was very rewarding. The curriculum, as well as the experience has helped me to grow. The required writing seemed a bit tedious at times, but in the long run was very beneficial. Writing our thoughts leads to a deeper and broader sense of understanding. NTS provides a low cost and relevant education. I am very satisfied with my personal investment.
Thanks again,
Dan Rogers D.Min.
I am grateful for the opportunity that Newburgh Theological Seminary has given me to study for and receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pastoral Leadership. The courses have been interesting and enlightening. I will be able to use this information as I continue in my service to God and to the congregation at First Christian Church in Savannah, Georgia.
Thank you for your words of encouragement and personal attention to my studies. I have found that the entire staff at Newburgh Theological Seminary have been very kind and professional. I will highly recommend this course of study to others.
I plan to pursue the Master of Arts in Biblical studies this spring. I am looking forward to meeting you in person at the 2009 Graduation services.
Sincerely yours,
Gary D. Cubbedge, Pastor

Since graduating with my PhD in 2005, outside of traveling and speaking, I've been mostly writing and publishing.
Since graduation, some of the other places I've been published include Boys Life magazine, Brio magazine, Breakaway magazine, and I've enjoyed writing for numerous other businesses and ministries around the country...I would like to add that I am a regular sports columnist for a professional ice hockey team and a professional basketball team!
I am currently working on two novels -
- one for Focus on the Family Publishers, a devotional for parents of teens.
- another is a novel based on the true life of a former Drug Enforcement Agency undercover agent who is a Christian.

I am a great believer in the grace of gratitude, and in the case of Newburgh Seminary, I am compelled to express it.
God has blessed my wife, Cher, and me with the most wonderful opportunities for ministry around the world through Compasssion Radio, of which I am President and host. We broadcast daily on more than 400 stations across the U.S. and travel to to some of the most difficult and exotic places on earth to share the compassion of Christ and to gather the stories of His triumph in places where there is much suffering and chaos.
Many years ago it was my plan to complete a PhD for the purpose of teaching at a college or university -- something I had already begun to do at one of America's top 10 liberal arts colleges.
But God had other plans for me. With a ministry lifestyle of constant international travel and broadcast deadlines a traditional residentially-based doctoral program was not feasible. But when I discovered Newburgh's essentially non-residential program, I decided to give it a go.
I am so glad I did. I already have degrees from places like Westmont College, San Francisco Theological Seminary and Princeton Seminary, along with graduate study certificates from Oxford, the International Institute of Human Rights in France and the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland, and I wondered if Newburgh would be a "downer" after such prestigious institutions.
What I found was excellent highly concentrated instruction focused on the practice of ministry. Dr. Mollette's presentation of Jude, Dr. Riley's work on Islam (that is a specialty of mine both academically and vocationally), and other seminars presented by competent faculty led up to serious work on my dissertation. This dissertation-centered approach -- very much like that of universities in the U.K. -- made it possible for me to pursue my long-desired academic goals
I also appreciated very much the sense of fellowship that accompanied the seminar experiences. Working with men and women of deep faith and sharing their ministry stories was strengthening spiritually, something not often found in the competitive atmosphere of traditional residential programs.
What I'm saying is, there is a place for this kind of graduate study, especially for busy but academically motivated practitioners in ministry. Dr. Mollette is, in his competent, gracious and encouraging way, offering a valuble service to the Church and its leaders.
My experience at Newburgh was excellent, and I believe the best is yet to come.

I want to thank you for your wonderful school and programs of study. I enrolled in and completed your Masters in Christian Counseling program. I was surprised and delighted at the interest your professors took in my progress and education.
I have been able to apply what I have learned in both my career as a teacher and in my church’s hospital visitation ministry.
I highly recommend your school to anyone looking to further their knowledge and broaden their career choices. It is good to know that there are real people behind each program working to enhance your education and to prepare you for your chosen field.
Together we will serve to glorify the Lord,
Kristine Huffman
Dear NTS administration, Faculty, and staff,
Thank you so much for the beautiful graduation weekend. The time and effort that went in to making it a special time for the graduates was very evident in everything that was done.
From the banquet, to the worship service, and the graduation exercises, each brought the spirit of Christ closer to home for myself personally, and I believe as a group.
The music was fabulous(thank you Carole for all your work), and the messages truly inspiring.
I will be continuing my studies with NTS in the fall pursuing my Master of Divinity, in greater preparation for Pastoral ministry.
Once again, I thank you one and all, please continue this great work that God has placed upon you. Preparing future Christian teachers, leaders, and disciples of Christ.
Sincerely,
Mark Kays

Testimonial
As Christians we testify that our Holy Scriptures are our only rule of faith and the only foundation upon which we can build a true education. A true and faithful communication of the Gospel requires a proper understanding of the Bible-message. Communication is a matter of participation. One of the challenges of participation is to ask the questions to which the Gospel gives the answer. In an attempt to solve my inability to do so, I began to study for a Master degree in Theology.
In bite-sized sections, Newburgh Theological Seminary, invited me to marvel at the Lord’s masterful logic, and guided me to ask the questions to which Christianity provides the answers. For the last two years my contacts with the president of Newburgh Glenn Mollette and my mentor Brent Largent, have been most edifying.

Dear Brother Dr. Glenn Mollette,
It is with great pleasure and joy that I am writing you today. I wanted to share with you, along with the staff of Newburgh Theological Seminary, the result(s) of the Hermeneutics seminar which was presented by Professor Brent Largent, on October 17, 2008. The end result was amazing and enlightening. One of my classmates said that she had attended four prior Hermeneutics classes, from various other Bible Institutions, but none of them was more informative and enlightening as this particular seminar. I agreed. Professor Largent was absolutely wonderful in his method of teaching and explaining the different techniques of Biblical Interpretation.
When I left class that day, I felt as though I was ready to take on the world and all of its problems. Professor Largent allowed class participation and he answered numerous questions that were satisfying, one which had been haunting me for quite a while. I learned that applying the art and science of Biblical Interpretation, difficult to understand scriptures are made crystal clear. Professor Largent is truly a gifted teacher and a valuable asset to Newburgh Theological Seminary.
As I move forward in teaching the scriptures, I will always stay wedded to the text (a term that was taught in class). This seminar has implanted very important principles that are needed in helping to eliminate some of the heresies that are floating around the world today. Thank you for offering this particular seminar and God Bless you, your family, and the entire Newburgh Theological Seminary staff .
Sincerely,

Michael A. Thompson comleted his Ph.D. in Church History. "I have thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to complete my studies through Newburgh Theological Seminary. I am particularly thankful for: (1) your personal assistance in helping me set up this very individual, personalized program; (2) your assistance in providing the necessary documentation to be able to study and complete much of the research for this dissertation at the Regent's Park College Library at Oxford; and (3) the opportunity to study at the advanced level in a "European post-graduate style" that is exactly what I desired when I was searching for an institution of higher learning. I will continue to recommend NTS to all my colleagues and friends. Thank you for your personal support and for the assistance of the NTS staff." Michael A. From John H. Blackman, Jr. Counselor The University of Alabama at Birmingham Newburgh Theological Seminary will work with you in planning your seminary education. God has called you into His service. Perhaps that calling is clear to you and sharply focused. Perhaps God is continuing to reveal His calling and challenging you to accept His guidance. Newburgh will give you the individual attention you need to plan your degree program, to complete your studies, to earn your degree and to put your talents to work for your calling. Currently I am finishing my dissertation for a Ph.D. in Christian Counseling. I have earned degrees in traditional college and seminary settings and have had wonderful professors along the way. Newburgh's administration and faculty are as excellent as any I have known. The two accelerated seminars I attended were taught by President Mollette, Dr. Christmas and Dr. Dunaway. These men are dedicated and compassionate Christian scholars. They are also preachers, pastors and administrators. They have taught, listened, and worked with me all along the way. Let them and others at Newburgh do the same for you. John H. Blackman, Jr.

Now that I'm halfway through my first course on Effective Biblical Counseling, the information has given me a fresh insight into how and why people act, but most importantly, is giving me a better understanding of my 15-year old son with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
In the week since starting this program, I have almost overnight changed how I respond to him when the OCD and anxiety affects his behavior. There is no doubt in my mind that having a child with these problems, (1) helps me better help him, (2) gives me an insider's look of living with this condition, and (3) knowing that God can use my degree and personal experience to minister to others.
All thanks and praise to the Lord for bringing us together, and giving me the desire to pursue this area of study. My excitement how God can use me for His glory, is a strong motivator to finish the Master's degree and then jump into the PhD program.
I've already come up with ideas for the doctoral dissertation and outlining details of what my vision is for putting this knowledge to use.
Faithfully in Christ,

In II KINGS 19:16 the prophet Elijah is told by the LORD to go and anoint his successor, Elisha, who lived in Abel-Meholah. Abel-Meholah refers to a 'place of rejoicing.' If I could encourage you to prayerfully and thoughtfully consider Newburgh Theological Seminary & College of the Bible as 'a place' to further your educational studies, I'd do so 'excitedly!' As a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Seminary (MRE,'74) and NTS (D.Min.,'06), I am confident you'll find at NTS an educational experience you'll forever appreciate. I know I have, and I will yet return for additional studies. Dr. Mollette and his staff offer the student sincere concern, helpful advice, and sound biblical studies for one's life and ministry. If I can encourage you further in this quest, please feel free to contact me. (RabRic21@bellsouth.net)
I have to tell you; the two seminars I attended in Bloomington, Illinois this past Thursday and Friday, led by Dr. Riley, were in a word: OUTSTANDING.
Dr. Riley, although encumbered by time restraints, gave us 3 days of material in 3 hours of time per class. I would have had to have read a half dozen books to garner the knowledge he was able to condense and disseminate in such a short time.
He was extremely well prepared, informative, interesting and fun to listen to. I appreciated his excitement and obvious love for the Lord and His work.
Dr. Riley was able to impart precisely what I was hoping to garner from him. He got right into the "nuts and bolts" the mechanics of Church planting and sermon preparation. I left the classes with solid practical information and more importantly...how to apply it.
This was definitely worth the trip and the time. Between Newburgh's program and method of instruction, the Holy Spirits guidance and inspiration, I am getting abundantly more than I ever hoped for. The Lord is blessing me tremendously and I am so excited to be a part of this.
Thank you all, In His Service,
Art HenSchen
After spending nearly seven years going to classes full and part time in a Bible college, I was a little skeptical of turning to distance learning. But after working with Newburgh and having Newburgh work very patiently with me I can honestly say earning a degree was an educational experience of the finest quality and depth. Thank you Newburgh!

"God called me to His ministry from a very tender age. As I grew older and matured I sensed His presence and awareness in a profound way. Belief in Christ does not make one less ambitious to strive for excellence. I already have a Th.B, M.Div. and a D.Min. Why do I need a Ph.D? It is my goal. If your goal is achievable, don't stop pursuing it. Newburgh Theological Seminary came to me at the appropriate time. Dr. Mollette and NTS guided my journey from start to finish. I am grateful to complete this doctorate in the NTS environment. My association with the academic professionals at NTS has changed me personally and professionally. The courses are well designed. They enriched my life and sharpened my counseling ability. My Christian walk is better because NTS gave me the opportunity to go a further step. It is my privilege to recommend NTS as a viable option in online education." -

"Newburgh Theological Seminary and College of the Bible is a great way to earn your degree at home. It is affordable to the average person, interdenominational and CHRIST - centered! The school is 21st century, relevant to your ministry, and completely helpful and caring. I have had the privilege of meeting some of the professors and they are qualified, caring and cutting edge. I would recommend this school to any and all that are planning to get their degrees."
Dr. Nevalon Mitchell, Ph.D.
Dr. Mitchell graduated from Presbyterian Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky before coming to Newburgh to complete his Ph.D. degree. Dr. Mitchell is a published author and serves as one of America's leading chaplains at the Veterans hospital that has cared for some of America's most influential leaders from the neighboring Washington D.C area.
"Being a full-time pastor means organizing responsibilities. My heart desires in every way to be with my flock and family and yet, I believe the call to ministry is a call to prepare. Newburgh Theological Seminary and Newburgh College of the Bible has afforded me a way to study at a conservative, reputable seminary while not neglecting any of my duties as a pastor or husband. The reading materials are excellent and the always helpful staff guides me through the melding of Christian knowledge and ministry know-how." - T.J. Milam, M.Div. Ph.D. candidate, Indiana
"When I was looking for a seminary to continue my education, I was looking for affordability in tuition, a degree program that would benefit the local church, and most importantly, dedication to the truth of God's Word. At Newburgh Theological Seminary and Newburgh College of the Bible I found that and more!" My studies at Newburgh Theological Seminary were challenging academically, practical in application and very rewarding spiritually. The distance learning experience has been a real blesssing, to say the least. It provided me with the opportunity to meet my educational and ministry goals without having to travel to a campus. Through Newburgh Seminary I was able to complete my Ph.D. in Biblical Studies without disrupting the church I pastor, by having to be away weeks at a time, or uprooting my family altogether. I believe that I am a better pastor, because of it."

"I ran from God until I was twenty-six. After surrendering to the call of God to ministry, I felt God leading me to go back to school. That's when I found Newburgh Theological Seminary which allows me a full time job, family and an education. I'm grateful for an opportunity to get my degree online and serve through a Christ loving school and receive more knowledge through such wonderful studies."

"Having attained a B.A. at California Baptist University and a Master of Divinity at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. I felt my academic journey had come to a close. I had neither the time, nor the desire, to invest another five years in order to pursue a Ph.D. Then I found Newburgh Theological Seminary. First, I researched the men and women who comprised the administration and faculty. I was very impressed with their reputations and their backgrounds. Second, I examined the programs that were offered and found them to be credible and challenging. Thirdly, after much prayer, I called the school and spoke to Dr. Glenn Mollette, and was convinced this was the school that I was searching for. I strongly believe there is a place in the academic world for a school like Newburgh Theological Seminary. Having uprooted my family and left ministries twice in order to be on a school campus has made me a proponent for distance learning. Newburgh Seminary will someday be viewed as the forerunner of distance learning and will be an example that other institutions will follow. After completing my Ph.D. studies I can honestly say there was not a day that I did not look forward to my studies, nor is there any regret in being a part of Newburgh Theological Seminary." - Al Carpenter BA; MDiv; Ph.D.
