Bachelor of Arts in Ministry
|
Purpose:The purpose of this degree is to broaden the student's perspectives and understanding of Christian ministry.
Degree Requirements:
The bachelor degree program in ministry requires120 credit hours. Eighty-five(85) hours of previous education or life experience may be granted. Thirty five(35) hours of coursework must be completed at Newburgh Theological Seminary and College of the Bible before the degree is granted. Seven 5-hour courses constitute the thirty-five (35) hours needed. All coursework is either emailed or sent via USPS to the students academic advisor.

Seven of the following books may be chosen. Your books may be ordered at one time, however, Students are encouraged to take one course at a time.

- MIN 340 Spiritual Leadership: Principles of Leadership for Every Believer, by J. Oswald Sanders
- MIN 360 When God Builds A Church: Ten Principles For Growing A Dynamic Church, By Rob Russell
- MIN 380 Revolution in Leadership: Training Apostles for Tomorrow's Church, by Reggie McNiel
- MIN 400 The Emotionally Healthy Church, by Peter Scazzero
- MIN 420 Connecting Your Heart to Others: Six Small Group Lessons on Fellowship, by Doug Fields
- MIN 440 Letters to Timothy: A Handbook for Pastors, by John R. Bisagno
- MIN 460 When God Answers Prayer by Bob Russell and Rusty Russell
After you have read your first book complete the following assignments:
- All papers should be typed, double-spaced
- Write a paragraph on each chapter summarizing what each chapter is about.
- Write a one to two page paper on how this book may be of help to you in your Christian life and ministry?
- Write a one-half page paragraph on how this book may have changed the student's perspective or affirmed something the student already knew about ministry.
- Write a paragraph on something this book affirmed in your life.
Repeat assignments 1-5 for each textbook.
