Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education
|
Purpose:
The Bachelor program consists of courses that will enable the student to become better equipped in the fundamentals of Christian education.
Degree Requirements:
The bachelor degree program in Christian education requires 120 credit hours. Eighty-Five (85) hours of previous education or life experience may be granted. Thirty-Five (35) hours of coursework must be completed at Newburgh Theological Seminary and College of the Bible before the degree is granted. Seven 5-hour courses constitute the thirty-five (35) hours needed. All coursework is either emailed or sent via USPS to the students academic advisor.(NOTE: Assignments mailed to the school should always be accompanied with a self addressed stamped envelope so that the work may be returned.)
Curriculum:
Seven of the following books may be chosen. Your books may be ordered at one time, however, Students are encouraged to take one course at a time. The student may suggest two alternate textbooks to be approved by a faculty advisor.

CE 480 Encountering The Old Testament: A Christian Survey By Bill T. Arnold and Bryan E. Beyer
After you have read your first book, complete the following assignment. All papers should be typed, double-spaced and check for good grammar and spelling.
- For each book write a ten to fifteen page paper to summarize the book.
Write a page or so per chapter to summarize the book or a couple of paragraphs per chapter..
- Point out practical principles that you can utilize in your Christian service.
- What are the major themes of the book?
