Newburgh Theological Seminary

 Dr. Glenn W. Mollette, President - Dr. Mollette is a graduate of Georgetown College; Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; Lexington Theological Seminary; Campbellsville University;  He has a Bachelor of Arts,  Masters of Divinity and Doctoral degrees. Dr. Mollette is the former President of the Kentucky Baptist Convention and state Pastor's Conference.  He is the author of Church Growth 101 and ten other books. He served churches for 39 years in mostly Senior Minister capacities. All of his churches expanded in missions and evangelism, education, buildings and stewardship. He has preached all over the United States and abroad.  

Keith Wilhite, Student Advisor - Dr. Wilhite holds a Ph.D. in Christian Education from Newburgh Theological Seminary.  He studied at the University of Wisconsin doing doctoral work in Education and Special Education. Dr. Wilhite also holds a  Master of Divinity degree from Evangelical Theological Seminary in Naperville, Illinois; a  B.A. degree in Bible and English from Oakland City University.

Dr. John Sloan - Academic Advisor  Dr. Sloan served as pastor of Westwood Baptist Church, Evansville, Indiana for thirty years. He also served as Pastoral Care Director for the national General Baptist Convention, in Poplar Bluff, MO for five years.

Alumnus - Elton Wayne Duke, has received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Newburgh Theological Seminary. Besides serving as an Academic Advisor he also teaches part time at Ivy Tech Community College, Evansville, Indiana and is a pastor in Kentucky. 

Dr. Franklin Dumond, Academic Advisor - Graduate of Oakland City University with BA and Doctor of Ministry degrees. He has the Master of Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY.  Dr. Dumond has a life  time of experience a a General Baptist pastor. He served on the national level for seventeen years with General Baptist Ministries, Poplar Bluff, MO, as the National Director of Pastoral Ministries, Editor of the national publication, The Messenger and much more on a national level. 

Dr. Art Christmas, Professor of Biblical Studies, Pastoral Care and Christian Counseling, History - B.A. from Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama;  M.Div. and D.Min. from Southern Seminary. Dr. Christmas is the author of Grief Counseling. He served Northpark Baptist Church Evansville, Indiana for twenty-nine years. He is a published author and skilled preacher and professor.
 

Dr. Steve Fitts, Professor of Philosophy and Addiction Counseling - Ph.D., Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky; M.Div., Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. New No Travel Seminar coming soon from Dr. Fitts on Christian Philosophy. Dr. Fitts is also a licensed clinical social worker. He has recently taken a position as a chaplain with the Veteran's hospital of Louisville, Kentucky. He continues as an Adjunct and grader for Newburgh. 

Dr. Allen Harrod, Professor of Religious and Biblical Studies, MDiv, Southwestern Theological Seminary, DMIN, Luther Rice Seminary. Dr. Harrod has recently retired from pastoral ministries but continues to teach seminars for Newburgh which are offered via video presentations. He is a gifted preacher, teacher and servant of Christ and continues to be a blessing to Newburgh Seminary and all who know him.
 

 

Dr. Anthony McCallum of Columbia South Carolina has been a frequent speaker for Newburgh Theological Seminary. He is a mentor and friend to the seminary.

 

Dr. John Dunaway, Dean of Biblical Studies - Georgetown College, Georgetown Kentucky
Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky Lexington Theological Seminary, Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Dunaway recently went on to be with Jesus. He was a blessing and friend to our school. 
His seminar on the Gospel of Matthew continues to encourage and instruct students. 

Dr. T.A. Prickett, Dean of Proclamation - Dr. T.A. Prickett is the new author of a mass marketed book on Preaching. Dr. Prickett is our seminar professor of preaching and is a graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky, with the M.Div. and D.Min. degrees. Congratulations Dr. Prickett!
 

Dr. Norman Sanders - Billy Graham Professor of Evangelism. Dr. Sanders is the seminar leader on Lifestyle Evangelism. He has been a frequent speaker for Newburgh and encouraged hundreds to be better servants and witnesses for Jesus Christ. His legacy lives on through his teaching seminar and influence on thousands of students and alumni.

 

 

W.G. Harvey, - A great friend of Dr. Martin Luther King and Dr. King's father. He is a member of Kentucky's Civil Rights Hall of Fame. He was instrumental in the African American Ministry program offered by Newburgh. He has recently gone on to be with Jesus. 

James Threet, Mentor, Advisor, Friend of the Seminary.
