Re: Hermeneutics 900 / Professor Brent Largent

Dear Brother Dr. Glenn Mollette,
It is with great pleasure and joy that I am writing you today. I wanted to share with you, along with the staff of Newburgh Theological Seminary, the result(s) of the Hermeneutics seminar which was presented by Professor Brent Largent, on October 17, 2008. The end result was amazing and enlightening. One of my classmates said that she had attended four prior Hermeneutics classes, from various other Bible Institutions, but none of them was more informative and enlightening as this particular seminar. I agreed. Professor Largent was absolutely wonderful in his method of teaching and explaining the different techniques of Biblical Interpretation.
When I left class that day, I felt as though I was ready to take on the world and all of its problems. Professor Largent allowed class participation and he answered numerous questions that were satisfying, one which had been haunting me for quite a while. I learned that applying the art and science of Biblical Interpretation, difficult to understand scriptures are made crystal clear. Professor Largent is truly a gifted teacher and a valuable asset to Newburgh Theological Seminary.
As I move forward in teaching the scriptures, I will always stay wedded to the text (a term that was taught in class). This seminar has implanted very important principles that are needed in helping to eliminate some of the heresies that are floating around the world today. Thank you for offering this particular seminar and God Bless you, your family, and the entire Newburgh Theological Seminary staff .
Sincerely,
TommyT.Brown

TESTIMONY
I have to tell you; the two seminars I attended in Bloomington, Illinois this past Thursday and
Friday, led by Dr. Riley, were in a word: OUTSTANDING.
Dr. Riley, although encumbered by time restraints, gave us 3 days of material in 3 hours of time
per class. I would have had to have read a half dozen books to garner the knowledge he was able
to condense and disseminate in such a short time.
He was extremely well prepared, informative, interesting and fun to listen to. I appreciated his
excitement and obvious love for the Lord and His work.
Dr. Riley was able to impart precisely what I was hoping to garner from him. He got right into
the "nuts and bolts" the mechanics of Church planting and sermon preparation. I left the
classes with solid practical information and more importantly...how to apply it.
This was definitely worth the trip and the time. Between Newburgh's program and method of instruction,
the Holy Spirits guidance and inspiration, I am getting abundantly more than I ever hoped for.
The Lord is blessing me tremendously and I am so excited to be a part of this.
Thank you all, In His Service,
Art HenSchen
