Bachelor of Arts in Christian Creative Writing
Master of Arts in Chritian Creative Writing (scroll down)

Purpose:
To acquaint the degree candidate with a broader understanding and experience in the study of creative writing.

Beginning May 1, 2009 and after this degree program will require eight courses, if the student has eighty previous hours of life experience or education.

Degree Requirements: Eight courses or 40 hours of study, May 1, 2009
The bachelor degree program in Creative Writing requires 120 credit hours. Eighty (80) hours of previous education or life experience may be granted. Forty  (40) hours of coursework must be completed at Newburgh Theological Seminary and College of the Bible before the degree is granted. Eight 5-hour courses constitute the forty (40) hours needed. All coursework is either emailed or sent via USPS to the students academic advisor. (NOTE: Assignments mailed to the school should always be accompanied with a self addressed stamped envelope so that the work may be returned.)

Curriculum:
Eight of the following books may be chosen. Your books may be ordered at one time, however, Students are encouraged to take one course at a time. Each book constitutes five hours of credit or one course.

No Travel Seminars are available. You are allowed up to four No Travel Seminars. You must have four core courses. You are allowed up to four electives.No Travel Seminars are optional. The entire degree program may
be completed by using only textbooks. 

No Travel Seminars give you the opportunity to watch or listen to a lecture at your convenience in your home via your computer.

NTS expects a good ten to twenty page summary paper of each textbook for all degree programs. Typed, double-spaced, Font type
should be 10 - 12. Microsoft Word is preferred when emailing an attachment. If Microsoft Word is unavailable, assignments may be copied and pasted into the body of your email. Please review your paper for spelling and grammar errors before submitting.

Seminar papers require 4 - 5 pages, font size 10 - 12.

You may mail your paper to us at  our postal address. You must include a SASE for us to return your paper.

 Master of Christian Creative Writing 


This degree program is for the serious writer who desires advanced study in Christian Creative Writing. 
Select eight of the following texts. 
Write a ten to twenty page paper on each book.
Summarize what you read and leaned.
Include ten principles you learned in your reading.
Write two pages on your favorite chapter. 
List some of the major themes of the book. 
Up to five No Travel Seminars are allowed in this program.
You should have five core courses in this program. You are allowed up to three
electives. Core
courses are texts or seminars from this writing program.

You may mail the papers to us but always include a sase in order for your paper
to be returned.

Once you have completed your eight book assignments write a five to ten page story.
The Story may be fiction or non-fiction and must have a Christian theme. Mail or email your story to us.
